Part of the Genal Valley is called the "Bosque de Cobre" or Copper forest, due to the beautiful colour it has at the end of october-beginning of november when its views and sights are completely fascinating.
Once we have had our coffee at our first stop in Smurf Juzcar, the trip starts to get serious. Driving along the northern face of the Sierra Bermeja and Jardon mountain we do a stop at a fire control lookout point, at +1100 mts above sea level on a super priviledged spot, being able to see the most spectacular views of many white villages whilst the fresh unpolluted air burns your lungs. After this visit, we continue down to the "Charco Azul" or Blue Pond where you can have a great swim in summer, just before we do the main stop to have the full included lunch in a typical small spanish "Venta" near the white village of Genalguacil.
THIS IS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR.
We promise you that you are going to remember it for a very long time.
The Genal Valley trip is a long tour. It takes what it takes as we dont go by the clock; they last as long as necessary and are a bit complicated to estimate as trips are long (aprox 130 kms), and as we stop for some nice photo shots and like to have an easy "tranquilo" luch, we dont want to promise an exact return tie, although normally we get back between 16:30 and 17:30. We want you to feel comfortable, have you take your time, enjoy the views and lunch we dont rush but please take between 5 and even more than 7 hours for these trips. Remember, we dont sell time but an experience.
Both trips can be done all year round, although we must warn you that during the dry period it does get pretty dusty on great part of the tracks, but is just as beautiful with a great swim on the way.
